Canadian Employment Connections (CEC):
Canadian Employment Connections (CEC) is a free pre-arrival employment program designed to help internationally trained professionals prepare for the Canadian job market before immigrating to Canada. The program offers valuable insights into in-demand jobs across various sectors and the skills needed to land these roles.
Post Arrival Services:
ACCES Employment offers a wide range of post-arrival programs. Clients are encouraged to visit the ACCES website to explore a variety of post-arrival employment support services and programs available to them– ACCES Employment – Helping you in your job search.

Program Eligibility:
- Have been approved for Canadian permanent residency and are currently living outside of Canada
- Plan to arrive in Canada within the next 2 to 6 months
- Post-secondary education completed with a minimum of two years of experience in your field of employment
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 7/8 or higher
- Commitment to actively participating in virtual services, including self-directed e-learning, conducting labour market research, and engaging in job search activities before arriving in Canada
Healthcare Connections Pre-Arrival is a free pre-arrival employment program designed to help internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) prepare for the Canadian job market before landing in Canada. Leveraging ACCES Employment’s deep experience supporting thousands of internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) and our extensive healthcare employer connections, Healthcare Connections Pre-Arrival offers employer-informed, sector-specific services that use e-learning opportunities, group webinars, networking and employer events, and individual one-on-one coaching to help new immigrants succeed in Canada’s diverse healthcare workplaces.

- Accessing highly specialized trainings pertaining to healthcare employees including:
- Interprofessional Healthcare Communications training from the Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare & Education (CACHE), offered collaboratively to Healthcare Connections Pre-Arrival and CARE Centre’s internationally-educated nurses.
- CACHE is a strategic partnership between the University of Toronto and the Toronto Academic Health Science Network with the University Health Network as lead hospital.
- Healthcare sector-specific Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Access (EDIA) training from the Equity in Health Systems Lab (EqHS).
- EqHS is a trans-disciplinary group of researchers hosted at the University of Ottawa’s Bruyère Health Research Institute.
- Mental Health in the Healthcare Workplace training from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
- Opportunities to engage with professional associations, licensure bodies and healthcare employers.

Program Eligibility:
- CLB 7/8 or higher
- Have been approved for Canadian permanent residency and are currently living outside of Canada
- Post-secondary education in a licensed healthcare profession from outside Canada
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed healthcare profession outside of Canada
- Plan to arrive in Canada within the next 2 to 6 months
- Commitment to actively participating in virtual services, including self-directed e-learning, conducting labour market research, and engaging in job search activities before arriving in Canada
Post-Arrival Services:
Healthcare Connections also offers post-arrival services. Those services will be discussed with clients taking part in Healthcare Connections Pre-Arrival.
